The customer service I received through Tax Express was terrific. However, they apparently do not have access to updated IRS information. I filed an amendment to my 2008 taxes for the first-time home buyer program and was told to expect my refund in 6-8 weeks. After waiting for that amount of time, I contacted the IRS personally and was told that refunds for the program were taking 12-16 weeks and my tax preparer should have known this. This incorrect information has cost me $600 in bills that I would not have had if I had been told that in the first place. I did contact Tax Express and was told it was not their fault the IRS was taking so long and there was nothing they could/would do for me.
